16 & UNDER - GIRLS
16 and under water polo class focuses on several key areas to develop young athletes' skills and understanding of the game. These include:
- Fundamental and Advanced Skills: Emphasizing the basics such as swimming techniques, ball handling, passing, shooting, and defensive maneuvers. Once fundamentals are mastered, they are taught new and more advanced techniques
- Tactical Awareness: Teaching game strategies, positioning, and understanding different playing roles and formations.
- Physical Conditioning: Building endurance, strength, and agility necessary for high-level performance in water polo.
- Teamwork and Communication: Encouraging effective communication, teamwork, and understanding team dynamics to improve overall team performance.
- Game Rules and Ethics: Instilling knowledge of the official rules, fair play, sportsmanship, and the importance of discipline and respect in the sport.
These areas ensure that young players not only improve their individual skills but also develop a comprehensive understanding of the game, preparing them for competitive high school games.
Available for girls ages 14 to 16.
Eligibility is determined by the athlete's age as of August 1, 2024.
Please complete the Registration Forms 2024 prior to registering for any other session. You will only be asked to complete these forms once a year. These forms must be submitted before participating in any pool activities.
DRYLAND
Dryland training is optional and provided at no extra charge.
Dryland training is the exercises and workouts swimmers do outside the water to improve swimming performance. Using dryland workouts as part of your swim training offers several significant benefits, including improved strength, power, endurance, range of motion, and injury prevention.
